I loved this story even before Margaret grew such long eyelashes. I too, saw the resemblance to Johnnie Depp, thanks to the author's good eye. The book is funny and I had the privilege of seeing it in its early stages. Great fun!

A single is normally on a peculiar road, seeing peculiar scenery and listening to odd music. Then a single day, you will locate that the issues you try hard to forget are undoubtedly gone.
HEY MARSHA, MY DAUGHTER KRISTY READ YOUR BOOK TO HER TWO BOYS ANDREW AND AUSTIN THIS PASSED WEEKEND,THEY REALLY LIKED IT.IT'S SO GREAT TO FINALLY GET BACK IN TOUCH WITH YOU AFTER ALL THESE YEARS. LOVE, EUNICE
Mrs. Tennant is our teacher. She has read the book to us. We really enjoyed it. The illustrations are awesome. We still don't like to write that much but we try!
Wishing you the best with creative writing, and your work with children that so much need the understanding. Dogs and pirates...a wonderful combination.
Grammie and I read Margaret a lot. My favorite part is when the pirates fight. I like the pictures of the little dogs too. They are so cute. I like how the little girl dog "rounded up" (tied up) that bigger dog, and how Margaret is getting ready to fight that bad Captain dog, and Mad Maverick on the cannon. I'm six years old now.
What a wonderful story. My daughter loved the copy we borrowed so I ordered one from Amazon.com. The illustrations are beautiful and the storyline is engaging. Who could ask for anything more?
